The smart thermostat can be integrated with your control panel using home automation functions, and is responsible for controlling the heating and/or cooling of a house. It performs similar functions to a programmable thermostat because it allows the user to control the temperature of the home throughout the day using a schedule, but can also be controlled remotely on the control panel, a smartphone or the Internet. The thermostat switches to economy mode when you leave and arm the security system in Away mode.
